Walk-in, same-day, evening and Saturday visits

Walk-in dentist in Scarborough, Danforth and Warden

Dental Care For You keeps walk-in and same-day emergency slots in the schedule at 3520 Danforth Avenue. You do not need to be an existing patient, and with evening and Saturday hours you can often be seen without missing work or school.

How walk-in visits work here

Walk in during office hours and tell the front desk what is wrong. If you are in pain, have swelling or a broken tooth, we treat it as urgent and fit you in as soon as a chair and Dr. Samar Fadavi are available. For routine concerns we may offer a time later the same day or the next available appointment.

Calling first at (647) 350-4500 is still the fastest route, because it lets us hold a slot and prepare for you. If you cannot call, come in. You do not need a referral and you do not need to be one of our patients.

Office hours, including evenings and Saturdays

  • Monday 10 am to 7 pm
  • Tuesday 1 pm to 5 pm
  • Wednesday 10 am to 7 pm
  • Thursday 10 am to 7 pm
  • Friday 10 am to 7 pm
  • Saturday 10 am to 4 pm
  • Sunday closed

Four weekday evenings until 7 pm and Saturday hours make it easier to fit a visit around shift work, school pick-up or a long commute. Late afternoon and Saturday slots fill first, so call ahead when you can.

What we see as walk-ins

  • Toothache, throbbing pain or pain when biting
  • Swelling of the gum, face or jaw
  • A chipped, cracked or broken tooth
  • A lost filling, crown or bridge
  • A broken or uncomfortable denture
  • Pain or swelling around a wisdom tooth
  • Bleeding after an extraction that does not settle

For a full list of urgent problems and what we can do on the day, see our same-day emergency dentist page.

Go to a hospital emergency department instead if swelling makes it hard to breathe or swallow, if you have a high fever with facial swelling, or after a serious head or jaw injury.

What happens at a walk-in visit

  1. We take a short health history and ask about your symptoms.
  2. Dr. Fadavi examines the area and takes an X-ray if it is needed.
  3. We explain what is causing the problem and the options, in plain words.
  4. We relieve the pain first. Many problems, such as a lost filling or a loose crown, can be fixed the same day.
  5. If more treatment is needed, we book the follow-up before you leave and give you a written estimate.

Insurance and CDCP for walk-in visits
